I need to tow my 1998 m roadester 2000 miles. Ihave a tow dolly . Do I tow front weels up or rear weels up. The car has a 5speed.help ccifwalk@bellsouth net

If you only have access to a 2 wheel dolly, I'd put the rear wheels up. That will make sure you don't have wear on the the rear end with all that un lubricated use because the car is not running, but the rear end gears are still spinning.

I would not tow it but either tralier or ship. My car is worth that...

You can tow it just fine by the front wheels if you un-bolt the driveshaft from the rear diff. I'd leave it in the car, and wire tie it up out of the way. Rear end wear isn't going to be the issue, as the ring gear will still be covered in oil and splashing oil all over the place. Transmission wear is the main culperate when tow-dollyung a RWD car with the rear wheels on the ground.

However, I agee with the above poster - go to U-Haul and rent a trailer, they're cheap.
