Okay, I'll start the first girlie thread! Does anyone else have a name for their car? I have never named a car, although hubby has named all his cars. I'm toying with a name for my Five, but nothing has really struck me yet. I've already got a German plate for the front, but it's not really a name it's more the description of the car.

My car's name is Darling Nikki.. like the song. :D Everyone on E46 knows my car's name. haha

That is awesome! My friend Thad has an old burgundy Mercedes E300 that he named Darling Nikki.
Am allowed to be in here? I feel like I'm writing on the mirror in the ladies' room/ :confused:

Hey there Delilah!

Great song! And great name for a car. I'm thinking along the lines of a music-related name myself. I guess my first step is in determining the gender of my car.... prolly a girl.

I name everything else... trees we plant, my GPS, my Roomba..... Heck, I even have a few nicknames for hubby! :D But never named a car, yet.

I hadn't thought about it until reading this but I always call mine "The Ole Girl" for some reason.

Okay, my car has been named. It will hereafter be known as The Storm Trooper.

Yes, I even bought a little Storm Trooper guy today from Toys R Us to commemorate the occasion. They had a large one with a bobble head but I thought that was a little too cheesy, even for me. :)

Now that I have a name, I'm starting to have a vision for my car and future mods. I need to head over to another thread here on ClubBimmer where I saw someone talking about blacking out their chrome. Later.....

My cars names depends on the mood im in. It can get pretty ugly some times. :D

I named my car Ricky when I was 16. it's not the coolest name now, but it works. The hardest part was finding a name that didn't belong to anyone I know. I thought that would be easy, but I ended up remembering everyone I'd met since elementary school! Now I want a really silly name for when stuff breaks...but that's definitely going to become the permanent name if I find one.

My daughter's 525 is called Ed. (E & D on the dash when in drive) The e28 is Ethyl, the E39 540i 6 spd is Christine- my wife says the car seems to have hidden issues. My truck is called Brutus.......

Younger daughter's 318 is called "burnout".

Alan, I know why your truck is called Brutus. That thing is nuts.

My Ferrari is named Marie, the M5 is named "Babe", the big blue bull!
