Mistertripps gave a great idea for a new topic. What is the coolest thing you ever found in a junkyard? It can be a car, a car part or whatever!! I'll go first!

My brother EnderM3 and I went to a car graveyard of sorts in extreme North GA last summer, and among all the 60s American cars, there was a BMW 320i that I liked, and of all things, a 59 AutoBianchi Bianchina Tranformobile (see attached pic). Its a Fiat 500 based microcar, made by AutoBianchi. Incredibly rare car, and to run across one in North GA absolutely blew my mind. I tried to buy it, but the guy who owned the place thought it was a unique car, meaning he was told it was the only one ever made. He'd never sell it.

I expect some really cool stories!! Lets hear em!

S52 with 6k miles on it in a junkyard in Dallas, GA. The guy thought it was junk. We got a great deal on it. :) The car was on the back of a transport truck and fell off.

Well, I stumbled on a Ferrari 308 GTB in a BMW-only junkyard in Braselton Ga of all places. The car was once Mike Tyson's or something.

Haven't seen too much awesome in Junk Yards here in the states, when I was in Japan I saw a lot of old 280zs and various generations of Skyline, by far the best thing I've seen in any junk yard in any part of the world I was in, was in Osaka when we visited the scrap yard out of the IC (Ishikawa Circle, every Japanese city has one, LOL) I saw a very mint looking 1970s Skyline GT-R (I wanna say C110) with a broken passenger window and a blown motor.

That thing was clean, I'll see if I can find a comparable picture so that you guys can get an idea of what I'm referring to.

Ahhh here we go...

Whew . . .the Japanese do make some cars that are VERY easy on the eyes!

I was going to buy it, but I had just purchased my R33 GTR and in Okinawa you can only own one vehicle if out in town and Marine Corps regulations stipulates that each serviceman can only own one vehicle on base. If I had a place to store it though, it would be in my driveway right now, ^_^

Oh my god! I would give my kidney and both lungs for one of those! Even with a blown motor!

That's a bit drastic considering that you can travel to Japan for about 900 bucks, LMAO! :p

Well, that all would depend on how big your budget is and how long you have to look. My job doesn't permit, but if you give me about 2 months of paid vacation, I could find one easily, I'd head right back to Osaka.

Coolest thing I found was a working factory radio for my Eclipse.

that one Mitch was talking about was crazy. They had a few semi's and big stuff, but that family of pigs under the one car freeked me out. Walking by a junk car and hearing oinking, and then seeing pigzilla across the way is not something you expect to happen.
