Ok guys here's what Im thinking.
Back around 1999-2000 BMW had an awesome idea. They decided to take the smallest, lightest car in the line-up (Z3) and cram the biggest baddest V8 they had (M5 V8, 400hp) into it.They reworked the body panels, gave it some upgraded brakes and other running gear and the final product; the Z8 was fit for James Bond. A fantastic car!
Here's where the speculation comes in-
What if they did the same thing today? The Z3's replacement is the much more solid and balanced Z4, and the new M5 is powered by a rabid high-revving Formula-1 inspired 507bhp V10 that is mated to a 7spd SMG tranny. I can't imagine that the Z4's open topped chassis could handle the torque without twisting like a coke-can, but the hard top version might be up to the task, after some chassis reinforcing of course.
So close your eyes and imagine with me, a Z4 M Coupe, powered by a 500+bhp V10 engine, with reworked body panels fit for James Bond.
I bet you can't stand up for a few minutes, can you! Haha. It's ok, I cant either.
