Sounds like fun, who is sanctioning this, is it an SCCA deal ( :p ), NASA? Road rally or are we talking about strapping up the cages, getting the fire suits and helmets and rocking the block . . .cause if that's the case . . . .

That is hilarious! Yes this is a road rally with checkpoints. I've done several rallys with the Porsche Club and 2 with the BMW club. They are sooo fun! Any of you guys going? I might hit this one if you guys go!

Is this legal?
Is it safe?
Could I be arrested during this event?
Is the road closed to traffic?
Is it like the Gumball 3000?

Regardless of the answers to my previous questions, I would like to participate if I'm not working.

Yes a club sanctioned rally is completely legal. It is safe. You can be arrested for anything, so no one can guarentee your not being arrested. If you call a cop a donut lovin fairy, you might get arrested. These rallies are nothing like Gumball, they are not as much fun as a Gumball like rally. You have to obey the speed limits because you have points deducted for arriving at the various checkpoints too early or too late.

I've done several with the Porsche club and it was a blast!
