Is there really something you can spray in your intake that will clean your MAF (mass air flow) sensors?
Mitch,
I've had good luck with electronic cleaner spray with the Ford mustang mass air meters, the k&n filters that have to be oiled are the problem. The oil gets through and the dust sticks to the hot wire. I take the meter off the car and spray the sensor and let it totally dry before putting back on, it works pretty good for the Ford stuff.

I wouldn't try anything except electronics cleaner. Traditional intake/fuel injection cleaners will destroy the sensor wire in your MAF.

There is a correct product to use. DO NOT USE BRAKE CLEAN ECT>>>>>
CFC makes a cleaner for MAFs. Is is particular to MAF sensors as not to damage the golden tube.

Mitch, didn't see this till just today. I used electronics contact cleaner as already mentioned. You need to take the MAF off the car!!! you cannot just spray it into your intake while the car is running. allow it to completely dry and then reinstall the maf in the car. You should probably then either remove the ground from the battery or have someone reset your cars computer. good luck. took me 15 minutes to do mine.

I usually just pee on mine and then scream profanities at it.
So far I have gotten mixed results

Is there an existing DIY that you know of? Just want to make sure I don't miss anything.
