So what's on your top 10 list of things to do before you die?

Here is mine:

1.) Drive the Nurburgring in Germany. I finally did it in October 2006 in a rented BMW. I hope to go back next year and rent a Porsche 911. If there is one thing every car lover should do; it's drive the 'Ring!

2.) Drive the Tail of the Dragon at Deal's Gap, NC in a sports car and on a motorcycle. I live close by, but haven't done it yet.

3.) Drive from Reno to Las Vegas in a high performance sports car. I did it in an NSX-T and I hate to say how quickly we made it across the Nevada desert. What a blast!

4.) Go to the Monaco Grand Prix. I love Formula 1 racing and I love watching this race on TV. It seems like a glamours place to hang out and watch a race. Of course I would want to be able to rent a nice sports car to drive to the event in.

5.) Go to France to watch the Le Mans race. I want to camp out at the track and hang out with the locals. I think this is one of the best races ran today.

6.) Drive 10 of the top tracks in the U.S. in 1 year. I would love to be able to have the time, money and car to drive 10 of the top tracks in 1 year. Tracks like Mid-Ohio, Laguna Seca, Road America, Road Atlanta, Sebring, etc.

7.) Drive clear across America in a roadster. Starting in New York City and ending in Los Angles (or the other direction). I did this in 2004 in a rental truck while following 3 scooters. We did a promotional stunt to prove how good the TGB scooters are and we did it in 11 days. http://www.cobrasales.com/news/cobrapowersports112004.htm I hope to do it again in a proper sports car.

8.) Drive Highway 1 from San Luis Obispo, Ca to Monterey in a roadster. I have always dreamed of cruising the left side in a roadster up the coast. It would be cool to do in a Factory Five Roadster.

9.) Drive the Rubicon in a Jeep Wrangler. I have the need to get crazy off road and where else to do it?

10.) Drive the Blue Ridge Parkway in a sports car.

What's on your Top 10 List?

good list....i must say, mine would be pretty close to yours. I have already cruised the parkway in my 325i (great weekend). I have also done the off road thing but not the Rubicon. I have gone to Tellico, which is a blast its in NC, in the Nantahala National Forest.

1. Go to Ferrari Mecca, the factory. I did this in 1989, a year after Enzo died. I went with my family and was able to meet Piero Lardo Ferrari and he gave me some Ferrari brochures. It was incredible. So I can cross this one off my life long car things to do before I die.

2. Drive a Ferrari F40. I've driven 3 F40s, and it made me a rabid F40 fan, and I must OWN a F40 before I die.

3. Drive on Nurburgring in a BMW. I must do this.

4. Drive on the autobahn and autostrada, I did this a couple of times and it was fantastic. I was passed by a red Testarossa so fast, that the cross wind nearly put my rental VW Passat off the road. Awesome stuff.

5. Attend a Formula One race in Italy. Especially when Ferrari wins. I was at Indianapolis a few times when Ferrari won, but I need to be in Italy.

6. Visit the Porsche and BMW factories.

7. Drive a Bugatti Veyron.

8. Meet and chill out with Michael Schumacher.

9. Punch Fernando Alonso in the stomach.

10. Own a garage full of exotic cars and just be happy.

My favorite part is that at the end of this list of extravagent things to do, "and just be happy" comes after owning a garage full of exotic cars. haha.

Great list BTW...I think the Bugatti(any Bugatti really) is near the top of my list.

3) Drive an F40 Ferarri on the Autostrada
4) Drive a 959 on the Autobahn
5) Tail of the dragon in a 951 Porsche
6) 1/4 mile blast in a Top Fuel car (already done it in a 9 second car)
7) road head from Gwen Stefani in a big ol Cadillac :D
8) Skyline drive in an E30 M3 (already done it in my old E30)
9) Drive a cop car full blast from coast to coast with lights going and using everything available to set a record

12. Find Chris Bangle and poke him in both of his eyes.
13. Enter into and win a professional D1 event in Japan, while driving a German car.

I've got video tape of me in a friends F40 at 180mph. The wipers were floating in the air stream. It was nuts. Great addition!!

The video is still on a VHS tape. I don't have a clue how to get it off that tape. You can come over one day and we can watch some car videos I have made throughout my life. You will be amazed.

I have video of my in a Ford RS200 Evolution car, about 50 different Ferraris and Porsches, including a 935 Moby Dick. I've been in F40s, F50s, no Enzo yet, 512BBLM, 365 Daytonas, Boxers, turbo Porsches, just some cool cool stuff. I need to figure out how to transfer those viddys.

I can attest to Mitch's collection, it's astounding how much fun this guy has had with cars that most of us will only dream about. My collection is extremely decent, but I'm still playing around in the amateur hour compared to Mitch.
Mitch, do you still have the video of us in your Dad's old Quattropig on Road Atlanta?

...really? No one thought of this?

Ok, I'll be the one that says what I'm sure is on all of our minds:

11. Drift the Touge in Japan, in an RB26DETT-powered AWD Ford Model-T, while wearing a clown suit with Michael Schumacher reading me pace notes in the passenger seat.

This guy has his priorities in the right place. Everyone truly must drive an exotic Italian car before they die. You can admire them all you want but when you get behind the wheel it will change your life. If you haven't, give me a call and drive one for a day. If you don't do it through me, let someone else help you do it. You'll never regret it.

Hiya, nope never been in a CGT. I want to drive one sooo bad, but then I would sell my car collection and my house to buy one. I am saving up for a F40 anyway.

87635csi, I like how you think!!

Machschnell, yes I still have the video tape of me, you and Gus in my dad's Maserati QP on Road Atlanta. Its funny as hell!

Buying a Ferrari was the nicest thing I have ever done for myself. I have never once regretted buying that car. It is a life changing event, that is for sure. If you have the means, I strongly recommend picking one up.
