I have the K40 built in system. Sensors in the front and rear bumper with the Laser Diffuser system. Works perfectly.

I have a V1 and I do like it, but for the money and from what I have read, the new Bel is awesome. I'll see what I can dig up.

Hi.
Does that thing work?
I travel 88 miles roundtrip each day and have received two tickets in two months.
I have a V1, but it doesn't help with the stupid lasers.
I'm getting desperate.
LOL
Thanks.

Picked up a V1 after lots of research from a few of the various websites. I will admit that I was getting sick of people saying "The arrows", but after using it, like them quite a bit. (when the unit goes off, you can almost track where it was coming from)

The V1 though, to me, has the rear facing radar in addition to the laser, no other unit has that. I think the hardware supplied is superior to any of the other units out there and quite robust. I also like its size, much smaller than I had thought and fits perfect next to the mirror.

I do believe though that if your not looking at the V1, the Passport 8500/X50 unit is the way to go, both have their +'s and -'s to equal out.

As to the BellSti unit......I did hear there was an issue with Ka band on that one, so folks are waiting for the company to iron that out.

I think that the V1 will pick up laser if the trooper hits a car in front of you. Basically the laser beam will shatter and break up, but still send back your speed to the cop. That scattering of the laser is what the V1 should be able to pick up.

Mine picks up Laser all the time with no problem...........possibly a bug with earlier releases, but, for sure it works VERY good. (especially in GA where the GSP uses it)

just hardwired my Escort 8500 to the GTI 1.8t. Love it. Wish it was just a bit shorter in length so I can put down the windshield visor on passenger side.

Since they use laser in Atlanta, I just find out when they hit me. Just the other day I saw police office on motorcycle way up the road, I was doing 47 in a 35. Pressed the brakes and slowed to 40 and 1 second later the 8500 detected laser. That was a close one.

An interesting point is that this police office has been around the bmw dealership near Powers Ferry Road. thought you would like to know.

the blinder, for the car version, is 359.00 The truck version has two more transmitters and I believe is more like 550.00 I have been running one on my Ducati and have had great results. I just put another on a customers bike and he says he loves it. The company claims to even PAY YOUR TICKET if it fails

here is a like to some of their test results

I would feel a need to speed even more to get my money's worth if they are willing to pay for a ticket!

The Blinder is great. Is stealth mounted in the front bumper with a LED and buzzer in the cabin. Cops can't even tell it's there. Also almost all cops only use laser, unless you are in a small town. then just BE CAREFUL.
Let me know if anyone is interested. I just sold the last one I had in stock, but I can get them in a few days of ordering. Fairly easy to install. The 2 sensor kit like I said is about 350 not installed. It takes a hour or so to install. Well worth the price if you ask me.
