Those are some great pictures. I have a friend with an e30 M3. Great car. Hopefully he will bring it out to some events. If he parks it anywhere for long he comes back to find an "if you ever want to sell this car..." note. Pretty cool.

Guys, I'm considering getting a E30 M3. Boy oh boy, I thought the 944 Turbo was expensive to maintain! A E30 M3 costs more to maintain than my Ferrari does.

Sure does, much like the E34 M5. :money:

Dude, there's no way. Are you joking?
What on Earth could be expensive on that car besides hard parts for the engine?

Yes Philip it is true. My Ferrari is the cheapest and most reliable car I have to maintain, I kid you not. The E30 M3 engine rebuild is $14,000, about the same as rebuilding my Ferrari V8!

That is mind-blowing. I happen to know of a white E30 M3 for sale with a blown S14. I was thinking that car with an S50/S52 would make a fantastic and (relatively) cheap to maintain car. Now obviously it wouldn't be 100% stock, but who doesn't love a fast little car with a big bad engine?

Did you ever get a price on that thing?

As far as I know ALL M cars are bloody expensive to run. That reman E30 M3 engine is the cheapest one I've ever seen! Good find Jason!

Probably the only way I would keep the s14 is if the car was absolutely pristine and was more for the collector level of use. As a daily or regularly driven car it would definitely get a swap. That s14 is only a 100k engine. If you buy one with that kind of mileage and it hasn't been rebuilt, expect to.
