Hey guys,
I have been doin a top end rebuild on my motor. Im doing all the work myself and have taken the head off, got the new cams, valves, springs, etc installed. Ive also gotten the head back on and in intake manifold, intake and exhaust manfold together. put the new turner chip in with the new injectors and the euro MAF.
needless to say, alot of work. ive been workin on it for about a month. im at the point of timing the cams and installing vanos.

Now, i am competent when it comes to mechanical stuff like this. but i still have a bentley and a guide from pelican on hand just in case. According the guide from pelican the secondary chain assembly should be able to rotate about 20 degree for advancing/retarding the timing on the intake camshaft via vanos.
the problem im having is is says to torque the nuts on the intake cam sprocket down the 10NM (not much) but then it says it should rotate. Mine does not. If i loosen the nuts, it will spin like it should but they are faaaaar too loose to be correct. but if i tighten them, i cannot budge it.
Thoughts? Sorry for the long post, but im kinda stuck here.
