Phil and Dave "fix" flat-spots!

Well yesterday on my way into work, while driving about 65-70mph on a rural piece of HW 278, some dumb b*tch talking on the phone in an A6 ran a stop sign and pulled out DIRECTLY in front of me, attempting to cross 278 and turn left, going the opposite direction I was going. There was no room to swerve around her so I had to just lock 'em up and pray. I didnt hit her (although looking back, I should have) but I did slide about 60', which left some pretty nasty flat-spots on my g-Force Sports.
She didnt stop, so I busted a smoky u-turn and chased her stupid ass down while screaming every enraged murderous hateful obscenity that came to mind out the window at her, which if you know me, you know was pretty f*cking obscene. She looked terrified and ran a redlight to get away from me.
Lucky for her, I had to be at work so I turned around and drove to Rockmart.
Now my front tires were shaped somewhere between perfect circles and capitol latter "D"s. The poor M3 was shaking like it was on square wheels. I wasn't happy.
So at work I was thinking to myself "Hmm... I have flat-spots, and I need to fix them. I wonder if there's a way that I could "shave" a few layers of rubber off to make them rou..... waaaait a minute! :detective:"
"I wonder if smoking them up a bit would make the problem better or worse.... Whoooo could I ask that would know abou..... wait a minute!

Nah, it didn't end well for them at all, LMAO! But we did get rid of the flat spots . . .now we just have to have P-Dilly drive for a few miles and see how everything's worked out.

To make a long story short- they are much rounder now, however they have considerably less tread left on them. All in all our experiment was a success.

I don't understand how you and Philip are so positive on road rage. I am sure neither of you have ever cut somebody off.

Eventually Philip is going to do what he did to the wrong person and it won't end well. Chasing down a lady in your car to spout obscenities to someone is really low class. She didn't see Philip coming and go "I am going to try and flat spot this guys tires".

The real moral of the story... fix your ABS :)

Sounds like this situation was your fault due to a malfunctioning vehicle system. Not the ladies fault.

I bet it is a wheel speed sensor that has too much crap covering it. That happens quite frequently.

I would recommend fixing it. The vert has some ABS problem and I hate it.

and no I am not for road rage, I am however for making people pay for thier mistakes so they dont repeat them. Im not saying catch her, and beat her up. Just get her info and make her pay for your messed up tires because she has no reason to be driving like a dumbass.

I was run off the road by a mom in a minivan, she was in the turn lane and i was in the straight lane and she without even hesitating cut me off and ran me into the curb bending all of my wheels and an A arm. I got her tag number and filed a report with the cops...actually that was the intersection my new house is on!

Had a similar run in with a mom in a SUV(bent wheel from avoiding her) I followed her to to kroger and got her insurance info. She had no clue she had done anything.

THAT is what pisses me off!

Not possible. Since you were able to stop while sliding enough to flat spot a tire... I bet if you had ABS you would have stopped farther from her and no flat spot. Blaming her for your broken ABS is a far stretch ;)

Seriously if I accidentally cut someone off and they caught up, asked me to pay for tires I would seriously tell them to go have sex with themselves. "I am sorry I accidentally cut you off, no I will not pay for your tires. Fix your ABS"

I want to believe you but you called in her tag and said 'she cut me off I want to file a police report' and they did? Then tracked her down? Then somehow her insurance and/or she paid for the damage to your car? Seriously?

Again, crazy. I would not have given you anything. No offense but I am not giving that info out to someone who claims that it was my fault they bent a wheel. It is possible that it was both these ladies fault but I still don't see how their insurance is going to pay out anything.

I mean think about it, I can drive home. Pick out the first AMG Merc I see, maybe pass them so they 'kind of remember seeing a green BMW convertible on 2/27/09' and then drive off the road. Oops bent wheel and my bumper was ripped off. I now have their plate and they 'drive home on I-75 North to 285E and get off at Exit 23 everyday at 7pm'. See it was them that ran me off the road... With a your word against their word I don't see this happening...

Maybe you were driving too fast in both instances?
