Back seats??

I am trying to change out all the seating in my 98 E36. The back seats do not fold down but im trying to get a full leather interior out of my friends M wagon. His back seats fold down.

My question is can you make it so that the rear seats will fold down in the sedan? Or is it impossible or require a lot of Fabrication???:confused1:

I think it could be done, but it would require some fabrication. I am not sure though, so wait to get another opinion. It would be really cool though!

Great question, anyone got any insight on this? I know the coupes have fold downs. I wonder if you could just get a rear seat from a coupe?

the seat backs attach differently so the short sweet answer is no

what kind of fab would be required?

I was thinking i would have to cut out the rear wall and weld in the back portion from one that does fold down? Am i right?
