I dunno.
Auto with 200,000mi and he changed trans fluid and filter. Probably never been done before. I wouldn't touch it.
Don't know anything about those SVX Subi's but never interested me.
I would really keep the 318i. It isn't that low and I don't know what you are driving through that it is too low for. I hate to be the bearer of bad news but 3200 obo is wayyyyy too high. It is a sub 2,000 dollar car and more like a 1500 dollar car(no offense). The e30 craze has jacked the prices a bit but there is a 1700 dollar big bumper 325is with a fresh clutch on bf.c GA right now.
Keep the 318i ;)

That e36 looks as low as the e30 so doesn't seem like that will help you.

Mel's 318 is kick-ass, but it's dying and she don't have the resources or the space to do a motor swap. Also, Mel lives in Ellijay during the week now so the M10, although it is an awesome engine, is not the engine to have for frequent highway commuting.
I want her to get an Alpine White or Bronzit small bumper M42 318i sedan. They're out there, and it would be the perfect car for her right now. That extra 40-50hp along with the taller gears would make it much more capable on the highway, not to mention 34mpg+. And she would still have an e30, which is a plus for me because I get to drive it occasionally. ;)

+1 I really dig SVX's, especially when they have 5-spd swaps from a bug-eye WRX.

Well a late model e30 you are going to pay more for... And even more for a 318i since those seem to be the most inflated prices and even more so for a 318iS... geesh
If it is on it's last leg and it runs and drives as such it should be priced accordingly and someone will scoop it up.

An M10 on it's last leg? An expensive motor swap? Bullocks. Just fix it. If not, Give me the anchor. I am looking for a post 9/79 M10 for Miggy's 2002 project. Killing a single roller m10 is close to impossible. Superior block casting. Fix it.

I have a 2.7L M20 with Getrag 260. I have the tools and lift. Nothing like doing an engine swap at a walmart parking lot. Ive already done one hehe.
