I got to work this morning and they were hanging thenew display on the wall! The stuff looks very cool. So far there's an E92 M3 wheel up there with some performance brake rotor. I'll post pics....

There's a bunch more stuff coming for this display, but it's being over-nighted from the Father Land. This is what we have so far, very cool stuff.

Edit: Can anybody see pics here? I think my firewall at work is blocking them.

They are maintenance-ready products. We have all the Performance Parts in stock. The price is higher than Dinan (of course), but they come with a better warranty and maintenance program. All rotors and air filters are replaced under normal routine like Inspection I and Inspection II. I have tons of pictures if you want them! BMW has now broken off partnership with Dinan due to 1) BMW wanting their own performance parts 2) Dinan's poor warranty. All BMW Performance parts [like all OE parts] come with a 2 year, unlimited mile warranty. I'm selling all of them at 15% discount [for the first few months] if anyone is interested!

This is the first I've ever heard of a 'poor' warranty from DINAN.

The reason United doesn't do Dinan is because of a story that happened a while ago. A customer had the Dinan Suspension with some sort of error. It's not clear to me since I wasn't there at the time. Anyway, the car was covered under Dinan warranty, and the dealer was told to fix the car. Long story short, Dinan's solution was to wrap a garden hose around the springs to solve the problem. Maybe this was Dinan's old way to fix issues, maybe it's their current. I am only told by BMW that they no longer deal with Dinan anymore for those reasons!

+1 on loving Dinan.
Ervin Goggins? Sounds familiar for some reason. Who is he?
P.S. Dan- What do you do at United? I'm a service receptionist at Global, currently training to be an advisor.

Ervin is a former Tech from Global and a good friend of mine. He is now a Tech here at United BMW in Gwinnett, and the only tech that touches my car :)

I was a "Parts Advisor," but a few weeks ago I was asked by general manager, parts manager, and BMW to head up the Performance & Accessory sales :)

I had been pushing for Dinan to come into the dealer for a long time, but it's always been denied (same thing with Mini as well). Now that BMW has their own performance line, it's something I can finally relate to in a passion.

As far as competition, it'll always be there, and I'm excited. I'm a BMW enthusiast, and there isn't a common mod that I'm not a fan of (csl parts, FI, cai, whatever).

BMW has higher prices than Dinan because of the fact that it's BMW, and because of the maintenance plans that are involved with it. Actually, the HP gains are more than BMW claims, but I doubt they'll ever come out with FI like Dinan. There are some things customers will come to BMW for, and some things they'll go to Dinan for! Either way, we're all fans or else we wouldn't be apart of the forum :D
