Bleh, that guy was a real douchebag of a businessman anyways.. There have been SO many complaints, lawsuits, etc. over this guy and his dealerships, from anything to faulty-financing, to discriminatory issues.. He deserves it. lol.
Regardless though, I didn't know there were so many dealerships under his "Bill Heard" umbrella... and $2.5billion/yr.. that's pretty nuts..
Anyways.. yea, yee-haw!! Good riddance! lol

They closed because they have multiple lawsuits. One being a 50M dollar one.

Holy sh*t. What could you possibly sue a car dealership for $50M? Did some guy get denied financing on a new vehicle, so the salesman beat him with a Tiffany lamp while the mechanic's raped his children?

I'm sure the real case is far less ridiculous, but I can't think else anything that would warrant a lawsuit like that.

Umm, this is the country where a lady sued SUCCESSFULLY because her coffee was hot. :shifty:

One story from this crappy dealer.
Customer buys a new truck for 8,000 cash. He got a deal obviously. He signed a contract, got the keys and went home. That night his salesman calls him and says he made a big mistake and he would need to come back and pay 10,000 dollars more. The customer refused, said he has a signed contract. End of story.
Wakes up and his truck is gone. Bill Heard took it back, now they want 11,000 dollars and the sales manager says it was a rookie salesman mistake.
News reporters went to dealer to look into the story and the mans truck was for sale on the lot...

They guy deserves to get compensated by at least a cool mil (sarcasm).
That is as shady as my friend with a 680 FICO score getting a 16% Interest rate from Sandy Springs Toyota. They also do terrible body work and I am afraid to show you guys my Focus because of my hood. My point being, these shady dealership do actually need to be held responsible for their poor business practices.

That guy just wanted his truck. He was not a lawsuit.
The big lawsuit was a class action with multiple people.
One lady made a down payment, came back to get car to find the dealer was closed. Nice. The dealer KNEW it was closing and still took the money.

I remember that story. That was really messed up. The dealership should have ate that and fired the new sales person.
