Seems photos of the 135i are few and far between here so I'll put up a few some of which my 1ADDICTS buddies are familiar with.

I used to have a car like that but it was before blue masting tape. I had to use baling wire and silver duck tape and always keep a three or four maypops in the trunk. And it wasn't for "just in case"...I knew they would be used:icon21:

Hey Call, I have a question that may seem stupid . . .you wouldn't happen to know how that car slides do you?

I'm thinking about getting something for a daily driver/second track car and am very interested in a one series.

If I buy you some tires, can I take it around at the next private drift day? LOL!

Nah, just wondering how she is to drive pass the limit bro, HAHAHA!

Needs an LSD so to answer your question not THAT great haha

I heard a rumor it would be an 'option' soon for the 135i but with the price of a diff for a 2005 330i ZHP in the thousands I don't see the factory option being the 300 dollars it was in the 80s :)

Could you possibly fit an earlier generation differential? I mean, I could technically weld, but I really would want it to take the place of the Bullitt as my daily driver so that wouldn't be too much in the way of an option.

Thanks Halston . . . you rock!

pffft.... If you wanna drift it just weld the diff. That car would be a sweet dd/track car.

Yeah uhhh, you missed my last post, LOL! Nah, a welded diff + daily driver . . .nah . . .not a good combo, especially on something that will still be under warranty. I don't mind shelling out a bit to swap out the rear end, but if there's no option for that, I'll just move on . . it's fine.

I am not too familiar with the 1-series, but couldn't you just swap out the E30 LSD?

I'm not sure . . .it would be a beautiful car and I know the E30 and E36 differentials mate up perfectly . . .I don't know man. . . that's like saying an E92 Diff will work on an E30, I can only shrug . . .I mean, I can try it, but I would really like to double duty the car as well.

We'll see . . .Call will reply with some knowledge . .

The 135i actually has the electronic LSD however a number of projects have installed a standard LSD. You can find a few 135i drifters on YouTube.

The car is very quick and has not shown any lag with the twin's. She spools up to limit at just under 2K rpm and holds steady thru the band. I've popped the needle a few times and she begs for more.

I've done quite a few cosmetic mods and a few preformance like the performance exhaust, performance 269 wheels with Bridgestone Portenza RE960's 225s & 245 40R-18s plus just yesterday we got the custom Cross coilovers/camber plates installed. She's settling and we plan on getting her adjusted & aligned tomorrow.

A few other items will be added as they come in but she is fun to drive as is.

Oh, and Dave, if you get a 1, you will be able to rape Philip in a drag race. I am pretty sure that the 135i has a better 0-60 time then the E46 M3...

I would really love to own one, I would probably just get a base 135i and do perfomance mods though.

That swap won't work.

Haven't heard of this electric diff. WTF is that?

When your car uses the brake on the faster spinning wheel to even out wheel speed. The plus side, the feel of a limited slip without having a limited slip . . .the downside . . .dramatic brake fade . . .Welery actually gave me a pretty good description of what it feels like after some hard driving. . . and drifting is about as hard driving as you can get . . .

Drexler & Quaife have mechanical LSD's for the 135i. To keep me from repeating check this out over on 1ADDICTS
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=4348

Advevo is a race car driver in Holland with a ton of experience with the ONE and says it's sweet for drifting.

As for the eLSD...BMW is moving to all eLSD because it is so much lighter and cheaper. They have done completely away with the mechanical LSDs in the MINI Cooper S and only offer the eLSD.
With everthing turned off I have gotten the car to rotate but the big deal is the heat generated. I should have a larger intercooler installed in a few weeks that should take care of the overheating issues

Really? I am pretty sure all of the new M cars have it. Supposedly it is pretty fancy smancy.

Either AW or Jet Black. Only colors I would ever get a new car in, with a few exceptions.
