Ok, So 2 days ago it was raining quite hard... I was on my way back from the bank do to one of their screw ups:luxhello:. I was on 81 heading back to the house when I came to this up hill corner. I was going about 45mph when I started to hydro plane... But the problem was it hit me like black ice. Water rushing down hill and me going up hill caused my e30 to turn into a pair of water skies. As soon as I felt this I knew what was going on. I gave the brakes a little tap tap.. Nothing the car was a boat. Not only was my precious e30 a boat, she was heading right for a telephone pole. Oh S**t, I was in a "JDM" style drift that I wasn't in control of. I eased into the gas about half way to see if I could get back traction. No luck, So I did the next best thing possible Slam on the front brakes and hope for a 180. Lucky, she listened to me and I pulled the 180 missing the tele pole. I'm now sliding sideways back wards into a blind corner...
Praying I don't hit anything, I turn the wheel all the way to the right so I could swing it back around and gracefully drive off from my near fatal e30 crash. Wouldn't that be awesome if it happened that way.... Well right as I started to flip her around I ran out of road :death:. I Slid about 20mph into a ditch and slammed into a wall of Mud. Sitting there in disbelief that I had wrecked my sponsored car, and was soon to get my A** kicked by my sponsor. I Get out of my e30 that is cocked sideways in a ditch. I'm standing in about 2ft of water, drenched, and noticed I ruined my new kicks(F***). To make matters worse A Georgia State Patrol rolls up. :whistling: He asks me if I'm ok I say ya but my cars not. Well the Georgia state Patrol gave me a long speech about rain. I gave him a long speech about tires. And he was pretty nice for the most part. I got towed out of the ditch as I could hear the back fender and exhaust scraping the ground:cursing:. I tried to save my car from hitting a pole and the cop said I did some good driving. I guess he said that because I didn't hit the pole or another driver. Ya, I'm pretty mad at myself cause I was getting new tires the next day. I tired to save her.... If you guyz could forgive me for wrecking an e30 it would be awesome....:crying:.
I'm Sry Halston...

You killed the euro trim I see.

That was brand new. That was the final straw. Not friends anymore unless you rebuild on the other white e30.

In fact, don't sell anything until you get it running and it is perfect :)

Except the extra white bumper :) But don't sell that till you confirm the new is is good.

Did you break the front lip?

Well on the bright side you weren't hurt. Car parts can always be replaced.

Mine.

It failed emissions on the stock cap and I ran to AutoZone. Problem solved.

You have to cut out and weld. Just get another clean chassis.

That car is a good candidate to be converted into a stake body e30 truck. Glad you're okay Blake.

How would the cap effect emissions? And that isn't a sarcastic question, I actually want to know.

I'm guessing having a cap that leaks fumes could be a fire hazard? idk tho.

Leaking fumes is an emissions problems. Which is why metro atlanta gas tank nozzles have the rubber boot to seal while you are filling up
