Ram Air intake and trans Light

I just put on a ram air intake on my Z3 2.3 as I was driving down the road my trans warrning light came on. Is this due to the ram air intake and should I remove it? Or do i need to reprogam computer now?

Unless you unplugged something during the install, the two are probably not related. You need to have the fault code read. Whenever the trans program light is on, the trannsmission is in default mode (1 forward gear & reverse) Driving it like this is not a great idea, it is designed to get you home or to a repair facility. You will ultimately overheat and damage the transmission unless you get it shifting normally again.
