Done with the minivan era!!

We have owned 4 BMWs in the past, but with three growing kids had to become part of the 'family van brigade' for the past several years.
Our youngest left for Oregon State University in August, so now we can be young (at heart) once more!!
My wife is out of country at the moment, so I took the opportunity to trade (give away!) the grand caravan for our 5th new BMW. This is a surprise for her when she returns this coming Tuesday.
It just feels so great to be back in a BM!
Look forward to being part of this forum - have had a great time on the FFROG forum while building my Cobra.
Its going to be a difficult choice as to what car to take out on Sunday mornings now - BM or Cobra?:)

SWEET!! Welcome to the site! Did you get a 328 or a 335? I am pining for a 335i coupe. The new 3s are so gorgeous. Post some pics! :)

Thanks for the welcome.

It is a 328i. - would have loved a 335i, but with the Cobra, my truck and three kids cars still on my insurance, I would have been stretching it!!

Previous BM's back in South Africa were:
318i, 528i, 325i and another 318i all in the 80's.

Hey Rob, Rob here as well...that was a nice "from minivan back to Bimmers" story!i! Did the same thing while living in Germany: traded-in my crappy-@$$ minivan for my 1st ever, brand neu BMW!i! I had to change it up coming back stateside especially moving to Florida...

Even if I ever had 3 kids (doubt it...1 is enough!) I would NEVER EVER get a minivan. That is just me though, I'll just get an E34 Touring or an X5 :)
