If you are questioning what a rebuilt title is, that means that at one point the vehicle was damaged sufficiently to be totaled by the insurance company. It has been rebuilt. Carfax may be more specific about the damage but it could range from theft/vandalism to flooding/fire or, of course, crash damage. Damage is the most likely but the title is still branded as rebuilt. A very good PPI is very valuable on a car like this and you should pay 20-40% below what you pay for an identical clean title car.
