The first is the easiest: Is the oil filter canister in front of the engine next to the ATF dipstick? If not, where is that sucker?
The second isn't so easy. This morning my wife couldn't get the bimmer started and had to take my truck to work. Ok, so I charge the battery for a few hours and it starts up without a hitch. As I exit the car and close the door, I notice the shift indicator light is still on. Hmmmmm. Ok, we've been out of town for a few days and I'll bet that's what caused the battery to drain. I get back in, start the car, move the lever into D and put it back into P. I shut if down, get out and close the door. The damn thing is still on. Any ideas on this one?
Just to answer some simple questions - the keys were out of the ignition, car off, interior lights were off as well.
