Got in the M5 at lunch, SES! drove to Performing Imports. They were great! James and Saul hooked it up and there were no major issues just old codes that were minor. I scheduled a full service for Tuesday. I started home (no ses) but the car really dies around 5000 rpm. It feels like the traction control has kicked in. I suspect my DIY CAI is really getting heat soak. Hopefully I can find time after tennis and before the wedding (daughter's boyfriend's older brother, wtf am I doing going?) I can get to Summit in McDonough and buy some heat shield wrap. Anyone know any where else to get a wrap? I thought about header wrap, but I think I want something with a reflective outer coat.

Drove to Summit Racing this afternoon, will apply Sunday. Performing Imports also thought the problem could be gasoline quality related. Car felt better earlier today. Redlined 5th at 135.

Is that the Summit Racing with all the parts for American hotrods? If so, I could have fun there. :mf_dribble:

Maybe a faulty MAF?

did the wrap today. Will take pictures and post. Did not drive the car today in the heat of the day. We will see how she does Monday. I need to quit worrying about it since Performing Imports will have it all day Tuesday.
