Hey guys, I am thinking about removing the pinstripes on my car...
Is there a technique to this, anything I should be doing?
Any tips or suggestions are welcome.
I want to do this this afternoon before I wash my car, but I can wait until I get good advice.

heat gun/steam cleaner and plastic scraper
wash the car first that way you dont scratch the paint with the dirt while using the scraper

Would a blowdryer and spatula be alright?

Not to sound ignorant, but how do I get those to remove the pinstripes without damaging the paint?

First, are they tape stripes orpainted stripes? If tape stripes, depending on how long the stripes have been on the car, I have to assume since new? There will be fresh paint underneath the tape stripes. You can remove the tape stripes with a hair dryer, use it on the low setting about 2-4 inches off the car. You CAN burn the paint so be careful. Then you have to get some adhesive remover, this is where you must be careful, because you will EASILY and will probably scratch the heck outta your car getting the glue off. Use caution. I would suggest a micro fiber towel and some pro-sol. After the glue is gone, you will notice 2 significantly brighter colored stripes of fresh NON-faded paint, because the dealer put these stripes on when the car was brand new. There will be a shadow of the old stripes, here you will need to get the car buffed to match the rest of the car. Its a PAIN in the arse.

Is this the only way?
