I'm getting ready to drop off my Ferrari next week for its major engine out service! I'm so excited. We are replacing the clutch, all belts, restoring the air box and stenciling, valve cover gaskets, all oil seals, new fuel lines, new coolant hoses, new exhaust manifold gaskets and more. Did I leave anything out?? Anyone anyone?

Haha, I tired to find the picture of a Mustang with the caption "Sorry about your penis." There is one with a Hummer too, very funny.

Also, Mitch, will you adopt me?:001_smile:

Surprisingly the Ferrari my most reliable car. It starts everytime I get in it. We are also repainting everything that needs to be restored. I'm most excited.

With regards to my privates....I've never once had a complaint about it. End of story.

As Mitch's wife, I will vouch for him. I am a very happy. :icon18:

As for the Ferrari (and other cars), yes, it is cool to have them and we are very fortunate. But, all these cars are very expensive to maintain and keep up with. Buying the car is only the beginning.

based on some owners experiences when I worked at Fall-Line in Chicago I am guessing it will be over 10,000 dollars and might be much higher than that. That would be for the "maintenance" items.

I believe the standard service on a 360 is 3,000 IIRC.

Awesome, can't wait to hear the report and pics of new work when you and your checkbook are on the other side of the service.

I will be taking lots of pictures during the "surgery".

If I was a joe-shmoe and brought my Ferrari into any authorized dealer, it would end up being a $10,000 to $12,000 job. I've had the same factory trained Ferrari wrench working on the car for the past 5 years, he is going to do it ALL for less than half of that.

I'm pretty much gonna stop bitching about maintenance costs on the M3 now.
