So I just went for a ride in a new M3!

I was heading over to a friends place last night when what should I see parked outside one of his neighbors but a brand new silver M3:mf_dribble:

So I stopped by to have a closer look and the owner was hanging around outside, and we started talking, and next thing ya know we were blasting down hamond onto 285.:blink:

Ok im bored at work so here goes.

Its a beast! I do have to say its not as fast as I though it would be, but im 100% sure that can be taken care of with chip, intake and exhaust. That said, its a hell of a car. Handling from what I can tell is very sharp for a car its size(and it is pretty big). Pulls hard in every gear, even 6th...at 2000 rpm!

the interior is supurb! I love it. Roomy but not huge, there is no space for a 5th person in back which I love. Bunches of new little features all over.

i was expecting it to be a lighter more nimble E39 m5...and I was right!

best way I can describe it is... Take a E46, put a huge V8 in it, update the toy features and make it look more evil and BAM E92.

me likey, cant wait till I can afford one......in like 10 years....

e36 M3 CW - ~3200
e46 M3 CW - ~3400
e92 M3 CW - ~3650

Each has gained about 200lb and one sight said the new M3 weighs 3700.

Actually the curb weight is 3571 lbs. That is 177 lbs heavier than the last model.

I don't believe it? Well I do believe it but would like to see it. Is this used for racing? IIRC he is way underweight for any type of BMWCCA Club Racing.

This guy (Shawn or Sean) hacked everything off of his car. Strictly for the track. If it is not needed for the track, it is not on his car. It was about 10 seconds faster than Enders M3 per lap.
