i guess not having a windage tray really is an issue....


the massive left hand drift at cordele with 6000+rpms plus for 4 secs + low oil = spun rod bearing...


my car my its debut feb 16th to make the sponsors happy and will be down till mid april...

building a 327i stroker with seta rods/pistons/crank and i head.....
new bearings
new gaskets
arp studs
welded coolant channels on head
turbo
lol

Definately sucks, but at least you get a chance to put something with a little more power into the car in it's place!!:jesusico:

Bummer man. My buddy had his e30 pop the motor earlier this week. Your specs for the new build should make it a sick car

i'm having secound thoughts on this rod knock issue...

it seams to have issolated itself to my differential.....


solid motor, trans, diff, and subframe mounts have this funny thing where they can send noises from one side of the car to another magically....



i'm gonna pull the rear cover off my diff tommorow and check for metal fatigue and such from the welded diff....

Tell me about it, my M30 in my 535i was "diagnosed" with rod-knock, valve tap and a vaccuum leak induced ping. Everything but what it actually was . . . bad springs on the dual mass flywheel, LOL! That was changed out, the sound went away and the engine drove happily.

I love cars sometimes!!
