Hey guys, what is the car that you regret selling most? I regret selling my first Porsche 911 most. I plan on keeping me M5 for a LONG time, so I won't make that mistake again!

How about you?

That's a cool car! I plan on buying a turbo 280z once my E34 building ventures are complete.

Triumph's are yummy . . . .and the 442 is simply a beast of a car . . . .*sigh*

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

I guess if I had to pick a car that I regret selling, it would probably be . . . as hackneyed as it may appear, my first BMW, my E30, every time I think about it, I wish I would have kept it, but yeah, issues aplenty so I had to let her go.

I miss my 91 Civic Si. It only had 70k miles on it and ran very strong. I regret selling that car period. Oh well, I'll get another one soon.

My only totally-free car.
Bought a brand new 1973 BMW 2002 in December 1972, out the door for $4000.00, taxes and licence in.
Sold it 8 years later, with 188,000 miles on it, for $4500.00.
And I still miss it. Many, MANY fond memories, including the look on the faces of my friends in MGBs when I toasted them in highway on-ramp contests!!!!!
The original "sport-sedan", but a complete sleeper.
Great car.

Wow, that's a sexy story . . . .makes me want a 2002, LOL! What's $4000 in today's money? Like $31,000? Just wondering. . . BMW's have always been the forefront in technology and superior driving, but they've also always found a way to top the charts when it comes to price, LOL!

Wow, shucks dude! See, I don't think I'd sell a car for someone, unless I was VERY tight with my finances, even then, I'd find another way around it . . . .I put it like this, the car was there before the female was in my life and it'll be there when she leaves, LOL!

Hate to date myself, but you really missed the best days of BMW.
Very few people knew what they were back in the early 70's, and it was rare to see another, so you always, ALWAYS got a friendly wave or flashed headlights when you DID see another. And since they were SO expensive (my Dad was buying Datsun 510s and Toyota Coronas for $1899., and couldn't believe I'd spend $4K on "almost the same car"), the only people driving them were true fanatics. All the kids in my high school laughed when I drove my new car into the parking lot; their MG Midgets and MGBs were true "sports cars".......I used to love passing them on the outside of highway on-ramps and watch their shocked faces in the mirror get smaller and smaller as they hit their 79 mph top speed! They didn't laugh for long!!!

My E30 was the one that got away. I had my hands on every nut and bolt on that car, everytime I see another one on the road I just sigh.:(

I'll miss my MkV GTI when it's gone though. The car is a wicked pisser to drive and is astoundingly well equipped for the price I paid.

It was my hubby's daily and I guess he just decided he wanted something else. After he sold it, he started driving my E36 M3 and I bought an SUV. (I was a new mommy at the time.)

My first car was an '87 Ford Escort. Loved that car! Lots of great college memories in there. I came to Atlanta in 1990 for a training class and decided I needed a new vehicle to go with my new job. I bought a brand spanking new Toyota PU with 2 miles on the odometer. Spent the next five years broke trying to pay for it. I wish I'd kept the Escort and learned my lesson about car payments 20 years ago....

Haha yep! We sold it to a friend though, and he drove it for a year or two before selling it to some guy up north.
