alright so i noticed the brake ducts were a little loose and wobbleing, so i put my hand in them, sure enough they are loose as can be, i look underneath the bumper and everything looks pretty much broken, and i noticed screws just sticking out of the plastic like teeth from previous attempts to fix it

I just got this car on the 16th and its my first BMW and i basically feel retarded asking all these questions but here goes:

I was wondering if i could just replace all of it with a splitter and get aftermarket brake ducts, i really love this car and i cant stand any of it looking like garbage, even if its underneath the bumper

Fixed mine last night but mine wasn't that bad you can buy the new parts and it will tighten everything up. Also replace all speed nuts.

Don"t know what its called but if you go to the dealer they can show you a picture of it and just point it out. I do that sometimes when I"m lost or don"t know the name of the part.

Looks like you need Glass Depo headlights and smoked corner lights.

I'm in my first Bimmer too and I've been asking a lot of questions too.

The people on this site are grade A.

As far as the part you need.

Something like may be only found at the dealership but try checking on ebay. Find a buy named Z3_Parts - if you email him he will help you. He mostly sells and parts out Z3's but he can find almost anything. Good guy, his name is Paul.

Let me know if you have a hard time finding him, I have his phone number too. I think he's in Alabama.

Ask away. That is what this site it for. I bought two Bimmers at the same time last fall and had so many questions I didn't know where to start. I ended up getting rid of one of them, but I love doing stuff to the wagon we have remaining.

Dino - I see you are from St. Pete. I love the Tampa/St. Pete area. I am overseeing a construction project for the government in Tampa and have been down there quite a few times in the last year. I'm wrapping it up in March and will be spending a couple of weeks down there. Maybe I'll see your Dakar around town. Of course, I'll be in whatever the rental gods happen to give me....
