I've only been an active member of Club Bimmer for a short time and I'm amazed at how many members are in the GA area. I so wanna be there. But since my company has no branch there.....plan B.
I have a few friends with Bimmers already but I want to get a larger group started.
Is there any ideas or tips anyone could provide to help me get started?
I plan on getting all of them to first join this forum, but how do attract new members?
I'm driving my first bimmer and I'm full of enthusiasm for these cars. My g/f and most friends don't understand why. I want to expand my "circle" to include people with like interest in Bimmers.
Help me out......NE1.
Thanks

Pat,
Flyers and word of mouth are the fastest way to get the word out locally. I suggest you start a thread in the regional forum on here telling anyone local to your area that you are planning a get-together. Set a date and a location and see how many people show interest.
I wouldn't necessarily look to start a new forum. I think the great vision of this one is that it opens up the opportunity for people all over the world to get to know each other while still supporting local groups through the regional forums. You could just have a San Antonio branch of Club Bimmer. That gives CB members from other areas the opportunity to get with you guys when we go visiting!

Absolutely! We welcome you! If you want your own forum in the Regional section, I can hook you up. You can basically do whatever you wanted with it. We would love some more TX members.
Recently we have started getting a large # of members from Tennessee, California and the Carolinas, so word is starting to get around! :)

I agree, maybe print off a small flyer or card with the website address or something then start posting in the regional forum. Thats the best way to meet others..

OK, so i'm gonna make some basic flyers with the ClubBimmer.com info on one side and the 4ngiefest/record attempt info on the other.
I will just stick them in windshield wipers everytime I walk by a parked Bimmer. That should get some peoeple in.
Mitch, Can you set up the Texas forum in the regional section? I'll start posting as soon as it's up.
Mucho gracias!!!

Word of mouth. The business I am in now is pretty much advertised by word of mouth.

In the San Antonio area there is a group called Strictly European Autosport. There an very active group. Talked with a few of them. If your looking to get ideas I am sure they would not mind you running with them. Could even direct the BMW guys to CB.C.
