I'd say most people get one from Bentley Publications.......... complete for the car from start-to-finish. (not cheap though, but WELL worth it)

Centernet is the best, but if you don't work for BMW then Bentley is the best thing out there.

Get the Manual by Robt, J. Bentley Publishing. It is better than the books my technicians use!

BTW, Dan. Can I return that CF STB? They are still on Natl B.O. ? I will help you out if you can. You are familiar with the Global/United war, right?

It all began when the satellite store opened. United took many of our guys out from under us. I mean a lot! Hell they tried to get me. I was suckered in as far as to pee in a cup. But alas, I am loyal To The Globe. Besides, I am on the Management team now. Aside from wearing a tie, I have no regrets. I digress. That is an industry no no. Out came the daggars, the price hikes, etc. I have no hard feelings. It made my life that much easier.

I wasn't even aware of any bad blood between Global and Untied.

Definitely Bentley's. I have a Chilton for my Volvo and the Bentley is much more intuitive and clearly layed out. Oh, and then there's this (http://tech.bentleypublishers.com/forum.jspa?forumName=bmw.z-series.e36/7). Makes for interesting insight at times.
Cheers,

I did not know United and Global had beef between them. I always thought it was between the two Uniteds for some reason.
And yes, Chilton does suck when it comes to being thorough.

We get alot of pissed off Nalley customers that switch over to us. They must have awful customer service or something.

Gwinnett has no beef with Roswell. Roswell just tries to out-sell us and be the "new kid in town" so they always try and "bash" us about store size and department capability. In reality, they have a much larger store so they have room to satisfy a large crowd quicker. Had it not been for Gwinnett, Roswell wouldn't exist. United was given a choice to either create Roswell or make one large dealership at the Mall of GA. The answer is obvious on which choice they went with. Most of the Roswell guys and Gwinnett get along great. However, it was Roswell's service department to decide on splitting the annual Christmas party by store. So no longer will Gwinnett and Roswell celebrate together.
United charges Global the same amount we charge Nalley for parts. I was unaware of the Global / United hatred. I know that a certain counterman there caused a "A+" counterman at United to leave when this "certain counterman" was working at United. And it wasn't Brandon! :) Other than that, this must be a 20 year old beef because this dealership has been around as long as Bill Lasater.. and everyone who works in a parts department around the world knows who Bill is.. ber ber ber ber berbebrebrebrebrerber i'll DO it! i'll make it happen. alright!

That parts guy has bounced around town for years now. I think he came to us. Heck, I remember when he was a Porsche/Vdub guy. I also remember when he started at Global the first time.

I suppose if you combine all dicks at Global together they would be larger. After all, you guys need like 20+ parts guys to not answer the phone right? JK  ! I know you're busy as hell no worries :) I used to just call Brandon's cell and bug him for a part while he was on his lunch break :D

I have no problem with my masculinity. I so often hear, " That guy drives an '84 318i." "He must be compensating for something." 40 HP at the wheels. Now that'sthe stuff ponytail mid life crissis are made of! Yeah, right. Anyhoo, Mr. Marshall is my friend. He desreves respect. Why you ask? The Guy just rocks! No expaination needed.

Oh yeah, Unless 4ngie has anything to say about it....Brandon will be back. He is the originator of the Weenie award. I have been working on him for a while. Not because he knows his stuff. I just miss my friend.4ngie might replace Butticaz in time. She got the weenie award too. Too bad she couldn't accept it. I carried it all the way to WOW. She Just didn't have time to accept it. She was too busy accepting those trophies that don't really matter. The weenie commission was sad. You know Tim Ng?.....He is credited as the first weenie, ever!
