One of my friends invited me on a trip to SoCal this summer. I found a great deal on plane tickets through Frontier Airlines for $170 RT just a few days ago. Last night, to my horror, I found that the prices had changed to $260 RT. http://smiliesftw.com/x/suicide.gif

Anybody have any hookups in the travel industry? :confused1: I've been using http://www.airfarewatchdog.com/ & http://www.bookingbuddy.com/. Any other suggestions. My trip is scheduled for July 16-23 and there's 2 of us going.

What airport do you need to fly into? I always have the best luck with AirTran. Wednesday is the best day to book airfare. It's typically the cheapest day of the week to book online.

Also late at night with Airtran.. See as they fill the plane the last seats are the cheapest, They do that just to fill the plane.

This will only be my 3rd flight ever, so I don't have a lot of experience with booking my own flights. I've booked lots of flights for business trips at Matt's office before. I didn't know about Wednesdays or late night booking, but I'll definitely try that. I need to fly into SNA or LAX.

+1...The cheapest flights will be the "down" times for an airline. If you can be flexible enough to fly in on a wed. or something similar it will be much cheaper.
