Any threads showing stereo removal?......

Trying to remove factory stereo abut once I get the two bottom screws out can't figure the rest and I hate sticking screwdriver in trying to pry out so I want to do it right.

You are going to need those special radio removal tools. Any stereo shop will have them, they are like $10.

I just installed an IPod unit to my stock system. The radio came out very easy without any special tools. We have an '04 325ci and the two trim pieces above the radio must be removed. Use a non-maring tool or the like to remove them. There are two screws that hold the radio in and I just pulled it out. I know they're all not like this and some need the "U" shaped tool to slide in the side to releas the locks.

btw, the IPod unit is great and works with all stock settings. It takes the place of the multi-disc changer and all the controls including the wheel ones, work like stock. Great addition.
