View Full Version : m5 for sale....
high mileage though.... :(
otherwise, might be worth taking a look at if someone is interested. if i didnt have 2 e39s at my disposal, id at the very least check this out. would be a pretty penny to maintain or fix what it needs, if any (although im sure it needs thrust arm bushings, cooling overhaul, etc).

WOW that is a hell of a good price on that car. If it has been maintained, it will go another 177k. It has the incorrect M Parallel wheels on it, but that does not offend me.

The price is too good to be true :)
It must need a lot of work as M5's are known for expensive repairs
If I had money to blow, I'd buy an E39 M5 immediately...
E39 > E60 as far as cosmetics!

Saw that car as I was on their lot looking at an '02 330i 5 speed that they had (it's sold???). Needless to say, if the 330i is anything like the M5, I would stay away..
The 330i was obviously owned by some kid that did some mods, poorly at that, missing bulbs, a poor attempt at Angel eyes (didn't work, missing connectors), trim pieces around the foglight missing, scratches all over the lower side skirts, tires were mismatched, headliner was heavily stained and falling off in the rear, car pulled heavily to the right, brakes were soft.. etc., etc..
Maybe the M5 is better, but I would seriously get a PPI before even making an offer on that car.. Of course, I didn't drive the M5 so take this for what it's worth.. :1eye:

Mitch recomended a guy to me that can find you a 330i. If I were to, hypothetically speaking, pick up a new car this weekend then he would def. be the guy that I would want to help me....again, hypothetically speaking of course.
