When you open the doors on my 98 328iS Coupe, the window rolls down sligthly to allow the door to open. When you close the door the window goes back into place. At least it is supposed to. These last few cold mornings (around 20 degrees) the car will leave the window cracked for about 10 or 15 minutes. Does anyone know how to fix this? It's like not having heat! Thanks.

Do you have to manually roll the windows up with the drivers side switch after the 10-15 minutes or do they suddenly go up?

It goes up only after repeated slamming of the door. It will only go up if you keep trying to open and close the door. Also, I did some searching on the internet and this does not appear to be the magnetic ring problem as the window still functions with one-touch feature up and down once the window finally closes itself. I'm thinking the latch mechanism maybe?

Wierd... my 94 325is driver's side window has been acting up too since it has gotten a lot colder. When I make a right hand turn or go into a curve to the right, the window will act as if the door is opening and closing. It cracks like it does when you open the door and closes immediately.

My vert does the same thing But it does go up its when you shut the door it needs to drop 1mm more when you open it. I did talk to Bill at German Auto Repair about it awhile ago I forgot what he said just give him a call.
