BMW racer, I'd like to be the first to welcome you to the club.
However, if that wasn't a typo, and you actually own an M1 Procar, you are probably way too cool for us. Seriously, no sarcasm. And you should mail me the roundel from your steering wheel because I can't find that %^#$%^ thing anywhere.

I actually own 2 M1'S, one of them being the procar in the video and the other one a street car.
And why do you say too cool? This site is for BMW enthusiasts isn't it?
It is nice to be able to share your toys with those who appreciate the cars and it is all about the cars and the heritage of BMW so have no worries about the cool factor ever, especially not with me.
I will post more pics of some other BMW's i own when i figure out how to do it as i am computer illiterate and somewhat of a dinosaur.
Unfortunately the steering wheel in the car is a momo wheel as the original one is worn out and i only ever use it when the car is on display so you are out of luck

Guys i would like to thank you all for the warm welcome.
Mitch , the pleasure is mine.
My procar is procar #98 that was run by GS tuning under the BASF livery.Supposedly it is the only procar that won a major international race, that being the 1000km of Nurburgring in 82 i believe. That race was shortened but i don't know if that fact is true as there were 2 procars run by GS tuning and both of them had the BASF livery in 81 and 82.
Irrelevent, the car spent the 80's in Europe and came to the US in 89 and i have owned it since 95.
I race it in SVRA,HSR and grp70 races in Canada.

Racer- do you know the M1 steering wheel roundel that I'm talking about? It's the motorsport roundel with the black and white surround.
P.S. Would you mind pm'ing me the VINs of your M1's, strictly for reference purposes looking up part #'s?

The car in this pic is not mine.It is the other BASF car that resides in europe right now and i believe the pic was taken at a vintage race last year. Here is a video of it and if you watch the whole video there is another M1 that joins the battle. The M1 loses to the corvette in the HP department but handles so much better and has better brakes.

Wow! I remember the BASF Procar from childhood. The first BMW Book I had ever purchaced had pics of that beast. I was 11 yo. 1984. Then it went on to Nelson Piquet and F1. Did Hans Stuck drive THAT car? It should be in the parade lap before the Rolex 24. What a piece of history!

Everybody has driven that car.And to this day it amazes me that Stuck would fit in there even if the seat was mounted on the floor as i am 6ft tall and my helmet scrapes the roof all the time
