Installed my new exhaust!

Just got my new exhaust installed last week and i must say that the guys i went to know their stuff!!!
I decided to go with a Magnaflow and a generic resonator.....why generic and not name brand??? Alex at "Extreme Performance Mufflers" here in Georgia asked me for some confidence and i went with his suggestion. I am so happy with the sound and installation!!! It looks like it came from the factory and it does not drone on the highway at all.......But when you get into it, man is it sweet

The tips have a staggered stance to them (which i love) it fits with the curvature of the bumper.

While im at it i guess i may as well share the Caliper upgrade. Not a big brake kit but i took it over to Alan at "German Car Repair" in Roswell (Great shop by the way) and had them clean and paint the calipers black. They were really nasty and rusty before but i think the little things like that make a big difference......They also replaced the anti vibration clips which really make the contrast pop next to the black.

Here are some sound clips as well.......keep in mind that if you are just listening from your computer speakers it will not sound much different from stock. You need to listen with a speaker system that has a subwoofer so that you can hear the low tones better....then you will get the full effect.


First one is on a 35 degree day at a cold start ...so the idle was kind of high at first.

The brakes look good too. I know several MINI owners like to paint theirs red. I guess you could get pretty creative depending on what kind of car you have.

I thought about red but my wheels are going to have gold centers so i thought the black would look better.

Really, I would rather you did NOT keep us updated. And that goes for everyone else out there on Club Bimmer who's modding their cars. Every time I see something new, I want it! I was perfectly happy with my brake rotors and didn't even realize I had an exhaust system until this thread, now I'm sure I'll be adding at least one of those things to my mod wish-list.
