General Break Down.
Much in the spirit of The 24 Hours of Lemons (which is where Night Majik Enterprises got the idea) The game is simple: 10 racers pit 10 cars against each other. Sounds fun right? It gets better. The idea behind The Beater Bash is to find a car that only costs $500 dollars to buy however, unlike The 24 Hours of Lemons we allow you to modify it to your liking and race it against others who have done the same.
The Cost?
Absolutely FREE! All you pay is the entry fee for each individual event, from there, you're golden. Expect MAJOR discounts as this will be a pretty big spectacle for spectators and racers alike!
The Prize?
Well besides knowing that you are a better driver and a better builder than the rest of the racers, you also receive the larger portion of the money that is held in the "pot". Once the race is finished and a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winner are decided, the money is divided amongst the winners.
Simple right?

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is The Night Majik Beater Bash?
The Night Majik Beater Bash is a contest that pits up to 10 drivers against each other in a series of races ranging from autocross and rally cross, all the way up to the big league events such as time trial and hill climb events. The only stipulation is that the car has to conform to the Night Majik Beater Bash Rules before purchase of the car can be made. Credit for this style of racing is rested within the founders of The 24 Hours of Lemons (http://www.24hoursoflemons.com/). Night Majik borrowed this idea, gave it a spin that would allow tuners the freedom to build as they please and created this wonderful event!
2. What "Rules" Do The Cars Have To Conform To?
Simple
-Each car must cost less than $500 USD at time of purchase.
-Each car must RUN and DRIVE and be able to be registered for use on public roads. The cars do NOT have to be registered, they just have to be able to pass either safety, emissions or a combination of the two, depending on your state's laws. If your state does NOT have safety or emissions laws than an inspection signed by a certified mechanic must be shown as proof that the car is safe for road use.
:::::NOTE::::: Each car must be presented to one of the Event Coordinators BEFORE purchasing! This will only SAVE YOU MONEY because we all know it wouldn't be cool to get a car just to be told that it can't be entered into the event!
3. So They HAVE To Be Able To RUN and DRIVE Perfectly?
Oh shucks no! Night Majik Enterprises understands that it is extremely difficult to find a vehicle for $500 that will run and drive perfectly. There are CERTAIN repairs that are acceptable upon time of purchase, these are repairs that are considered MINOR and most of them are repairs that can be done AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE or immediately after purchase. These are relatively inexpensive repairs and they do NOT inhibit safe driving of the vehicle for the most part.
-Flat Tires
-Cracked Windshields (Cracks ONLY)
-Starters
-Alternators
-Batteries
-Brake Pads
-Exterior Lighting (Headlights, taillights)
-Seats
-Distributor
-Spark Plugs
-Other Minor Repairs
If you have any questions as to what WILL and WILL NOT be allowed when purchasing your beater, please email event coordinator David Adams at hunterd557@comcast.net (hunterd557@comcast.net). Put in the subject line "Night Majik Beater Bash". Your question will be answered as soon as possible, often within the same day.
4. Can You Give A Quick List Of Items That Are NOT Acceptable As Repairs?
Absolutely! There are items that are considered "MAJOR REPAIR" parts that would simply disrupt the fairness of the games. We allow free reign of modification, so we have to limit the competition somehow to allow for everyone to have a fighting chance. Items that are NOT permitted on the repair list for a purchased vehicle are as follows:
-Head Gaskets
-Engine Mechanical Parts (Pistons, Rings, Valves, Guides, etc.)
-Major Brake Components (Rotors, Calipers, Pistons, Lines, Boosters, Cylinders)
-Transmission or Drive Train Components of ANY Kind (Clutch, Flywheel, Drive Shaft, Bearings, U-Joints, Differential, Axles)
-Broken Front or Rear Glass (It's okay if it's cracked, but if it's completely smashed, that's a no-go)
-Major Suspension Components (If all four struts are blown, that's fine! If all four struts of missing . . .come on . . .do math! LOL)
-Other Major Components and Repairs
As always, if you have a question as to whether or not your repair is allowed, DON'T ASSUME, email David Adams at hunterd557@comcast.net with the subject "Night Majik Beater Bash".
5. What If I sign my turbo BMW 328 to my friend for 500 bucks and let him/her race it? That's not really fair for others?
Night Majik Enterprises and its event coordinators are aware of the possibility of cheating. Although we currently are working on the honor system, we know what a $500 dollar car looks like. While it may be possible to get a Porsche 944 N/A for that price if something is broken and it has bad paint, we know that there is no way that a Porsche 911 C4S is going to sell for that price. We trust our teams and our drivers and we know that everyone will race honorably to allow for the best time to be had.
6. Do you have to have a cage?
Currently, a cage is NOT required for the events we have lined up. Our event coordinators are working on getting more advanced events lined up, and if we can, they MAY or MAY NOT require a roll cage to be installed in your car. If we find that a cage is required for the event, we will allow plenty of time for our drivers and teams to install a cage prior to starting the event.
7. Sounds Fair, I Can Do All of This! How Much Does It Cost?
That's easy! FREE!!!!
8. Pretty Cheap! Okay! I'm Game, What Other Money Am I Going To Spend.
Glad you asked! We ask that all entrants contribute at least $25 USD to something called "The Pot". "The Pot" is a trove in which all of the contributions are stored. The stored fees are then divided up among the top 3 contestants at the end of the race. The only other money you'll have to worry about is the money that you'll need to enter into the events.
The reason we're able to keep the entry fee so extremely low is due to the fact that we allow the participants to enter into races that they feel qualified for both technically and financially. Keep in mind, the more events you enter, the higher your chances of wining are, but you do NOT have to enter every event. Events will range from $50 to $250 dollars depending on the type of event.
9. Awesome! Sounds Great! So How Do I Pay?
Oh that's a snap! You can either pay up front via PayPal, cash, money order or check or you can decide to pay over time. You can pay in any increment as long as by the conclusion of the event, your total entry fee is collected. The reason for this is due to the fact that Night Majik Enterprises understands varying financial situations and is MORE than willing to work with you on this. We also understand that since the events are running on an SCCA schedule, they are often spread out and aren't always able to be run back-to-back. Due to this, we understand that simply putting a down payment, of some sort, is more feasible than putting down the entire deposit.
Keep in mind that in order to be eligible for the prize, your total payment(s) must be collected by the conclusion of the event.
10. That works, so how do I win?
Well there are a series of 10 races. Ranging from Autocross to Hill Climbs and everything in between. We're talking quarter-mile passes, rally cross and the sort. Points are tallied on a 20 point scoring system and then at the end of the Beater Bash, the points are totaled and a winner is declared along with 2nd and 3rd place.
The points look like this
1st Place: 20 points
2nd Place: 15 points
3rd Place: 10 Points
4th Place: 6 Points
5th Place: 3 Points
6th-10th Place: 1 Point
As was mentioned above, you do NOT have to enter every event, just make sure that by the end of the event, you have more points than everyone else! Fun, Right?
11. Sounds Hella Fun! Final Question, How Do I Sign Up?!
Simple, registration IS currently open, all you have to do is email David Adams at hunterd557@comcast.net (hunterd557@comcast.net) with "Night Majik Beater Bash" in the subject line.
Emails should include:
Your Name: First and Last along with any Nick Names that you may have.
Date Of Birth: Demographic Posting Reasons Only
Driver's License Issuing State: (NOT THE NUMBER)
SCCA Membership ID: (If applicable, this is to make sure that you receive all discounts possible when entering into various events)
A Photo Of Yourself: (Decent Photos Please, HAHAHAHAHAHA!)
Just let him know that you wish to be a part of The Night Majik Beater Bash, and include the information above. You do NOT have to pay any money now, in fact, you don't have to pay until the day the event starts. Once you make your payment, you will be given a Court-Legal receipt and you will then be eligible for the grand prize and entry into the events.
12. So, will there be any media coverage?
At this time Night Majik Racing and it's event coordinators do not have plans for national, regional or local coverage of the event, however, this is a good plan to try to put into effect for the next event to come around!

Are we still on for this?
I got this idea- whatever car we get for it, we should get blue purple and red electrical tape and make our own BMW Motorsports stripes on it (ala 3.0CSL Batmobile racecar) :icon15: :wet: :icon15:

Well Justing has a great car for this now. I can't see AH being worth any more than $500 in it's current condition.

LOL! Well I'd have to run it through a formal appeal, unfortunately, but I'd be willing to stretch the rules if he's willing to abide by the rest of them...
