When you go to a restaurant and get dinner, They bring your main course when you're still eating the Salad or Soup? I said something to them and all they said is I'm sorry. Its like they want to get you're money and out the door!! My girlfriend said I was rude, But if you don't say anything it keeps going on. What happened to going to have a nice dinner.

Yes it bothers me too. It's like they're rushing you. I don't think it's wrong to say something and to have them come back later with the entree (of course then there's always the little voice in your head that says "I hope they didn't spit on my salmon").

I bothers me also, and when I say something about it my wife accuses me of being obnoxious as well. Even though I know it bothers her as much as it bothers me.

Pardon me if I don't want to choke an expensive meal down just so the restaraunt can get my money and get me out the door.

Yeah, I've noticed it, but to me when I hear people complain about it, they always seem yuppie to me . . . .LOL! That's just from the outside-in . . . .LOL!

OMG yes! Last time I was at a nice place the damn waiter kept comming over to ask how everything was. After the 3rd time, in 15 min, it told him to piss off, and ill flag him down if I need him.

How to be a good waiter :
1. Be available
2. Dont speak unless spoke to
3. Have at least decent timing

Seriously, you are right. I don't need a sprinkling of pubes in my food. But, If you JUST handed me my salad and the plate is still full as I dig in, and you show up with my entree, I will make you feel like a tool.

I don't really care what the restaraunt wants me to do. If I wait to get a table and get bad service I am going to speak up. I don't care if they put the food under a heat lamp until I'm finished with my salad, but I'll be dipped if I'm going to sit and watch it get cold while I rush through my appetizer.

LOL you are so right! But yeah that would make me a little mad i like to enjoy my meal and not feel as if i am being rushed!

1. Go to Blockbuster/hollywood Video.
2. Rent the movie Waiting, starring Ryan Reynolds.
3. Watch it.
4. Think about it every time you go out to eat, because it sums up years of restaurant experience in an hour and a half.

Haven't seen that movie but I used to read the WaiterRant blog. I'm not sure if he still blogs (it used to be one of the most popular ones out there) but last I heard he was working on a book.
