I've had my car around 4 months now, '03 325i tiag. I got my windows 20% around and after X-mas (hopefully with the help of a X-mas bonus) i'm doing lighting and wheels. I have xenon headlights and want my fogs to match, do I need to find xenon ballasts etc. or can I get bulbs that will be similar. Also going to do my side markers and turn signals, hopefully tails as well if the funds hold up..

I need to get my digital camera fixed so I can get some pictures up. I need to research this fox light thing, its a pet peve of mine to have non-matching headlights and fogs so I need to find the easiest fix possible.

Oooh, can't wait to see it. Lights are my next big thing, too, once I get some other things taken care of. What color side marker lights and tail lights are you going with?

I was going to go smoked but I don't see myself modding this car very aggresively adn i'm not convinced that it will look good. Just going to go clear corners with black housings so they look stock, and clear sidemarkers. Hope to have LED tails by April. I was planning on going with 19's but I don't really think I will ever have an aggresive drop with this one so I think I might go with 18's as 19's don't look as good on a stock sedan. I really don't plan on going very aggressive with this car, waiting for a promotion to buy an M.

Depending on your bulb type in the fogs, a typcial xenon retrofit kit is around $240ish.
Who cares how heavily you are modding the car...smoked looks good regardless.

On a black car i would agree. I was initially going to go smoked, but with just windows, sidemarkers and clear corners i'm not sure how good it would look. In addition, having smoked corners that connect to clear headlights seems like a weird combo to me, need to check it out...Do they even make smoked corners for an e46 sedan?

If they dont then just get a sheet of Rock Blocker to make it all match. :)

o hay sam! He's already signed up. :)

Yep, you can have xenon fogs and smoked corners like mine. :) You will have to have ballasts for the fogs.

Awesome man!

After 2 years of no modding, I'm back on it as well! Last month I downgraded my 4300k bulbs to 6000k bulbs. I am seriously thinking about doing the lightwerkz TFX retrofit.. it looks great, the only problem is you can't add halos :(

This month, I did the black roundel. I think I'll be doing a mod per month. Maybe next month I'll get a CSL trunk :)

Sounds like a good plan. I"m really excited to get started..

For the headlights and fogs, I want them as bright as possible. What would be the next step, a bulb upgrade?

If you have Xenon lights, visit lightwerkz.net

They have AWESOME retrofits that put out a ton of light in a concentrated area. It's easy on oncoming traffic's eyes because they use stock 4300k bulbs. The higher the number, the worse the output (but the bluer the bulb).
