With much regret I am selling my beloved and cherished 1989 Porsche 944 Turbo. Black over linen. Turbo S package with M30 option. 106,200 miles but in outstanding condition. Condition is so good in fact, it won 5 1st place wins in the Porsche Club Concours in 2005-2006! I have all the trophys, including the trophy for 2005 PCA Concours D'Elegance Grand Champion! The car is that nice. I also have tens of thousands of dollars in reciepts for this car, its been maintained to the absolute maximum by one of the best Porsche Turbo mechanics in the country. Gearbox rebuilt, new K27 custom turbo, Guru Chips, 968 side view mirrors, B&B stainless exhaust, Club 90 polished factory wheels, way too much to list here. It just had a $5000 major service, with all new engine oil seals, rod bearings, water pump, timing belts, coolant tubes, all fluids, new spark plugs, lots more. It also has a new central electric fuse box system, gearbox, tranny and clutch are all fresh. I have all kinds of goodies for this car. DARE I say this is the most complete 944 Turbo in the country? I have all reciepts for the car, totaling WELL over $25,000, just in preventative maintenace and performance mods. I have all stock parts that go with the car.
This 944 Turbo is extremely fast, runs great, looks wonderful. Buy this car and go run your local Porsche Club concours with this car and WIN. This car can also be used for track use, its only been in the track a few times.
I have Porsche factory 89 944 Turbo showroom poster, sales brochures, press kits, factory black and white photos, consumer brochures, a 1989 Porsche factory video, all owner's manuals and owner's literature, original Blaupunkt literature, factory stock tire air pump system with original gloves, original complete first aid kit, original gorgeous tool kit roll, stock parts, stock air box,
Please email me for tons of pictures, copies of receipts, photos of turbo upgrade work, gearbox and tranny rebuild, and soooo much more. Call me anytime!
I am asking $17,000 or best offer. I will also consider interesting trades, including E30 or E36 BMWs as partial trades.
Now you will see some photos of the car and of the spares that come with the car. Including 5 1st place trophies and 1st place ribbon.

Thanks for kind words Bob! Yes, I know I will be kicking myself after I sell her. I've owned the car for 5 years and simply love the car. It really is one of the very best 951s I've ever seen and had the pleasure of owning. The new owner will be overwhelmed with all the stuff I have for the car.

Dude, seriously if I had the money to purchase/maintain a car of that calibre I'd totally buy it from you. I was at a used Porsche place yesterday looking at 944's. I really like them.

OK Mitch took me for a ride in this car about two weeks ago and man was i impressed! Mitch has put a TON OF MONEY in this car and it shows! It pulls very hard and sounds great! The car is probably the cleanest 944 you will find..... honestly! I mean it is perfect I feel honored to have rode in it thats how nice it is! Anyway he has a TON of records that he showed me and a lot of cool things to go with it like posters, water bottle (lol) tool kit, compresser, media stuff and a ton more...... like 3 huge boxes more! I think that anyone that is at all intersted should go and look at it because once you do you are going to want it! Trust me at this price it is a steal! I have seen the records and he easily has double what he is asking in it!
Good luck Mitch! I will miss it and it is not even mine! lol

That's awesome. I couldn't beleive it was real when I saw it. I didn't know there were any Rallye Golfs that were actually brought here by VW.
If you want to get rid of a car I'd be happy to take the E30 M3 off your hands. :)

I appreciate that, but there's no way I could realistically afford that car. And even if I could buy it I wouldn't be able afford to maintain it the way it should be cared for.

Yeah I am sad about selling the car, but I've got bigger fish to fry! The guy who bought the car is a HUGE car nut, takes care of his cars like I do. He and his father have owned several Porsches recently and know the cars well. I feel comfortable in letting him have the car. Its going to a good home. Thankfully. I've already warned him about the power a few times, he is CRAZY excited!!

Turns out the guy who bought the car was not aware of it's awe inspiring power. TO be blunt, he is terrified of the car and it's power. He now wants to sell the car. His parents drove it around and it scared the hell outta them too. So he is forbidden from owning the car. Anyone want a nice Porsche?? :)
If I had the money I'd buy it back.

Well, I guess if you are going to be scared of a car your's would be a good place to start. In the wrong hands that car can hurt a person.
Wish I had the cash. I'm not scared of it and I full-well know it's capabilities. Firsthand.

03-31-2008, 08:11 PM
Yeah, seriously Chris. come on people, it's a throttle, you don't have to stomp on it. In that Porsche, once the rpm's get high enough, it will scare the crap out of you. Personally, that's my favorite moment, when the torque kicks in and you can stand sideways in you chair. like a rocket taking off.
It's also why the car has great brakes.

I can't believe this kid. He knew how much horsepower it had and just because it is capable of going that fast doesn't mean he needs to drive it that fast. He is a grown man and his parents are telling him he can't have it. MAN UP!!!

His dad called me last night, they are really nice people and they genuinely fear for their kid's life in that car. I understand, but you can turn the boost down, put a smaller turbo on it. Theres all sorts of stuff he can do to slow it down. Not sure what to do about it. I'd love to get the car back somehow.

Hi my car had over 400hp to the rear wheels. It had adjustable boost that spiked up to 19psi safely. It has all kinds of good stuff. It was faaaaaast. The new owner absolutley loves it, he said he outran a stock 996 Turbo on the track 2 weeks ago. That made me smile.

To me a 2900 pound car with 400rwhp is extremely fast. I'm sure you have something much faster and much cooler right?

no offense, its just being talked of as if its the fastest car in the world...
just yesterday i was strolling around in a 600whp 9000rpm 1.8t powered audi tt... mitch your car was beautiful and i'm sure its as great as its sound i was just curious to the 2900lb of 400whp
my race cars arent meant to be cool and such they just do their job of getting things done, as is the purpose i built them for.

Hey no offense taken at all. No one ever said it was the fastest car in the world. She was a fast little car.

Not for nothing, but it really is a fast car. Not the fastest car in the world, but that is really an abstract comparison for a car that sold for under $20K, dontcha think?
I've been in and driven some very fast cars. This one was among the fastest, no exaggeration. What a fantastic car.
