Late Style Keys

Hey everyone, BMWs from approximately model year 2000 onward have keys without replaceable batteries. These keys are charged by the ring antenna in the ignition when you drive the vehicle. If you have more than one of these keys, it is recommended that you use each key at least once every 6 months for an extended driving period in order to maintain a battery charge in the key.

Thats pretty cool i didn't know that but i dont have a 2000 up!

For any Bimmer owners who also drive a MINI, same thing applies. When we bought our MINI they told us to make sure we used both sets of keys regularly to make sure they stayed charged.
