Me and my friend stopped by Alan's shop today and man was i impressed! Alan is a very knowledgeable and very friendly guy. He helped my friend Imad out by looking at his 944 and gave him some great info! Alan also showed us his shop and it was clean and well organized! I will be going back for all of my

Hey Alan it seems like the spark plugs fixed my cold start problem! I just got back from taking Imad to drop his car off at your shop and my car was cold when i started it, i didn't have any problems! That would be awesome when i take Imad to pick up his car maybe we could look it over just to make sure anything is still up to date! Thanks Alan:cool:

I got a chance to stop by the shop yesterday. Alan is nicer than nice! Took the time to show me around the shop and answer all my questions.
Judging by some of the cars that are there it certainly looks like they know their stuff! Alan's so called "Beaters" are nicer than most guys show cars!
If their work is as good as their customer service then i will be taking my car there for everything from now on!
See you on Monday Alan:)
I only wish i could use one of your beaters as a loaner....lol. :icon18:

Ralph,
the E28 is actually my wife's:icon18: You'd have to fight with her to use that one:) The M635 isn't road ready yet, in fact I just ordered brakes for it today, going with E32 front pads, Sport Rotors & calipers, E34 rears with Sport Rotors. The engine & tranny still have to come out for freshening up & a host of other items, both cosmetic & mechanical need attending to. The car stood for 7 years before I purchased it, & it shows:(

I too can give many accolades to Alan, Yvette, and the techs at German Car Repair. Alan pointed me in the direction of the E34 during my bimmer search, and has given both great advice and excellent, affordable service since I bought the car last October. After experiencing a drive in my car and having a talk with Alan, my father (who drove Volvos for 20 years and hates oil changes) surprisingly doubled his car budget and bought a 2002 BMW 540iA. And yes, he actually cleans, waxes, and maintains the car. The whole world is shocked!

Yay Meltzer's Dad! Way to bring him over to the Dark Side. Or whatever side, damn I'm watching too much Star Wars with my son lately.
And my Storm Trooper (there I go again with the SW) is back in shape again thanks to Alan and the other fine folks at GCR yesterday. Fixed the wagon hatch, new brakes, new control arm bushings and diagnosed my ASC issues (my back tires were the wrong size). Yay German Car Repair!
Now it's time to open another branch closer to Douglasville..... :icon18:
Ya know, I love being in this business. Yes, it can be very stressful & frustrating at times, but I get to meet great people on a daily basis. I have already met quite a few ClubBimmer members & if they are any indication of the rest of the crew here, I think Mitch has created something really good! Funny how time flies. Customers that I first met in the 80's have had kids whose cars now frequent the shop, especially around the holidays when they're home from college. Sometimes I feel old........
NOT!!!!!!!!!!!:)

Hey GCR- I just realized that I pass by you guys twice a day on the way to and from work. The place up on the hill, right?

I love being in the automotive business as well :)
I'm friends with nearly every Tech in the shop, and they do things for me without charge.. no matter what it is :D
When I need some aftermarket stuff done, I'll head over to GCR!
