Carma has ordered a great new diagnostic tool. not only will this help us with diagnostic work, it also will code all control units, and most importantly IT WILL ALLOW US TO REPROGRAM YOUR BMW. I saw a rear wheel dyno graph and on a 2000 M3 they were talking about 28 rear wheel horse power Unbelievable. Should cost about 500 or so per car. Totaly reversable and best is that it will NOT cause any emissions or check engine lamp problems. Hit us up to save a space to be one of the first.

Not for what you get. About twice as much power as the crappy little shark unit that cost 375ish. Not a single upgrade that even comes close dollar per pony:wrench:

My car has Dinan stage 2. Will you be able to do anything on top of that? (Sorry if this is a newb question).

I've got the Powerchip M5 software and love it. It makes my Sport more like UBER SPORT!

I bought some "Dinan" chips for my 8 over ebay. Don' even know if they really where Dinan. Anybody can use a sticker maker. The biggest problem with the Dinan chips is they are stuck in bed with BMW. I've talked to the guys at Authority that do nice custom tuning and they said the same. Dinan has to work in the specs as BMW for tuning. Other companies that do not have cross over BMW warranties that Dinan deals with.
Dinan stage one on a 2000 M3 adds a whopping 10 horse power and they don't say if that is crank or wheel. 299.99
Their stage two for 399.00 boosts it to a massive 11 horse power
For a couple thousand you can do The system features fully matched Stage 2 Engine Software the High Flow Cold Air Intake and Free Flow Exhaust, and still not get the same gains as the software we will be selling.
That is the problem with performance stuff. A lot of times it's the name that cost so much and gives so little.
Granted, for the 500.00 you don't get a cool badge on the trunk but for 20 bucks I'll make you one

`Looks like the stage two only nets about 11 horse. Let me talk to the software company and make sure there would be not issues and what gains you could expect from the upgrade. The computer should be coming in some time next week. Holla at me then and I should have more info then
Thanx.
I'll have a bunch of stuff printed out to hand out at the car show on 12/02/07 in Virginia Highlands

Figures BMW would get greedy and take that market for itself. I believe Dinan still has to work with in BMWs guide lines to stay with in warrenty
not sure, but pretty sure
what ever that means.
When are we gonna do your M5

Hmmm.. I might be interested..
The PowerChips solution for my '99 540i/6 is about $490 for about 14-17 bhp. It would, however, require that I'm without a car as the DME would have to be shipped out.
Having a local "tuning solution" would be nice. Any warranty on the product in case of disaster? :) PM me..

Beat me to it! lol
Dinan is a completely independant company now, but you can still have their parts installed on your car by BMW factory tech's without jeapordizing your factory warranty.

That is one of the best mods out there. I must say, Dinan's quality is great. Oh yea, not bashing BMW at all. Corp is corp either way. Love the cars, just they can only allow upgrades that meet a very narrow platform. Don't balm them, that is why my last one had 287,000 and still running strong.
Once I get the computer in (next week some time) I'll be able to tell you more. Especially for the people that have already done some ecu remapping, I want to find out more from my company. It is totally reversable if there are any problem and YES there is a full warrenty as well

My friends e36 run about 610 rwhp. So I'm sure what ever your needs are, they can be met. I don' focus on that extreme tuning, but 300 seems like an achievable non boosted number. Big question is what do you have to start with and what are you willing to put in. I have a friend that can even custom tune a chip for your car if need be. What have you done so far?

Let me know as soon as you have an update on problems with pre-existing tuning. Thanks
