I purchased a 2001 325i wagon a couple of weeks ago. I have attached a picture of a warning light that just came on. It is above and to the right of the seat belt light. It is an orange circle with a slotted circle on each side.
I have attached a picture. Can anyone help. The manuals that I have are service manuals. Can anyone help?? Can someone tell me what it is what it means?

That is your brake lining (brake pad wear) warning light. Once it illuminates, you normally have about 500-1000 miles to get it checked.
