Oregon's heisman hopeful went out with a knee injury, looked kind of bad actually. They brought the younger Leak in and one of the first plays was an interception that went the other way for 6. Big games this weekend. I'm pumped. I'm a ga. southern/Va. Tech guy.

It was Leaf. Ryan Leaf's little brother. It all helps UGA climb the ladder.

LSU bites the dust. Missouri puts an end to to Kansas. Hope it ends up Missouri and West Virginia for the BCS crown.

Actually, I'd love to see OU beat Mizzou and Pitt beat West Virginia. Stir the pot up even more. We need a FREAKIN' playoff system!!

We do need a playoff system.
The better game for the title would be WV and Missouri. A Missouri loss to Oklahoma would let Ohio State in the Title game. The very last thing for a chance for a playoff would be for a Big 10 to get into a 1 or 2 spot in the BCS. The Big 10 is the reason there is not one now, and the only conference that gets an auto bid to the BCS.
Unless something real bad happens WV not going to take a loss to Pittsburgh.
So pull for WV and Mizzou to win and for Ohio State to get crushed big time in the Rosebowl.

I agree, at least an 8 team playoff would be nice. USC will crush ohio state in the Rose bowl. I need VA. tech to win big over BC on sat.

They have a big investment in Weis since they just renewed his contract. They'll be alright next year, not that I care. Go Dawgs up to #4! Go Oklahoma and go Pitt! (miracle needed there!)

I don't see ND canning Weiss. They'd owe him too much money and made such a big deal about him being their savior. What they need to do is get that man on a diet. That Goodyear he carries under his belt is hideous!

Lots of coaches looking for work this holiday season.

Hahaha! Yeah, he and Mangino or whatever from Kansas! Represent, the sport in some physical manner. Geez!

I think ND will be ok as well. I think Claussen is the truth and will be a good QB.

One word - PLAYOFF!!!

How did I know that Mizzou and WVU would both lose today? Now everyone has decided that Georgia isn't the fourth best team in the country as they were voted last week. I don't argue that they were rated too high for a team that didn't even make their conference championship, but you can't go back and change your mind now if you voted them that way thinking there was no way #1 and #2 would both lose.

We should have Ohio State, USC, LSU, Georgia, Kansas, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech and West Virginia playing in an eight team playoff for the title.

Let's consider that most conferences don't have the same championship games that the SEC, ACC, and a couple others have. Technically, Ga tied for their conference title in the SEC East. So even that differs from Ohio St. I agree for sure there needs to be some changes to give more clarity but there will always be arguements and they can be had all day. I want to see GA vs OHST but we'll see what happens. What I can say is GA will be a terror next season and if not this year...watch out next year!

Have to admit I was wrong here and you were right. After the bowl bid came down started to read a lot of things on the net from the AP, and looked at many msg boards. Lot of talk about playoff system.

Almost everyone out side of the Big 10 and LSU pissed about Ohio and LSU.
Strength of schedule. Here is where you get the the shame of Ohio State. A good number not to happy how a cake walk schedule gets you a spot in the big game. ->along with a month of sitting at home watching tv.
Strenght of schedule kills Hawaii, lifts LSU. LSU win over the Vols gets them in the game over at least 8 others who think they should be there. As always the big babys at USC have used up many boxes of kleenex. Georga coach making a fair amount of noise.

Lots of people are looking at Illinois in the rose bowl and going WHAT??? The game should have went to at least Flordia or Arizona State. (even a fair number of Illinois people think they should not be there) Eather Arizona State or Flordia would have been a better game then Illinois. But then again the bowl people want to give and easy to USC so they can win and call themself co-champions again.

BCS match up
Ohio State VS LSU
my view>Flordia did it last year now it is LSU's turn to crush a buckeye.

Virginia Tech vs Kansas
->VT going to feast on a blue bird.

Oklahoma vs West Virgina
->Unless Rich Rodriguez can get his team up for a big TV game, going to be a long day for WV fans.

Georga vs Hawaii
->History has a WAC team pulling an upset. On any normal day I would say Georga by a massive score. The story going to be G's pass defense ranked 24th vs Hawaii pass offense ranked #2. My only toss up game.

USC vs Illinois
->I am getting ready now to hear USC call themself co-champions.

Other game that is going to be interesting to watch. Gator Bowl. Texas Tech vs Virgina.

Post up your views, if no one else I am interested.

LSU will win but I won't be impressed.

I will have to do some comparisons on VT vs Kansas. Interesting match up. VT doesn't impress me either.

GA vs Hawaii will be interesting but Hawaii wll get that 1st loss. Alabama beat Hawaii last year in John Parker Wilson's first collegiate start and 'Bama is just not a complete team, then or now. Maybe next year? Colt will get a few nice scores with a long pass but that will be shut down. GA defense will be all over them up front and look for Curran to terrorize. Hawaii will not be able to handle the rush. Look for a 200 yard rushing day from GA.

USC vs Ill. Well I believe USC and the whole PAC10 are overated so I hope Zook takes them down. I would love the SEC to schedule a lot of games vs the PAC10 so we can settle some of BS talk they've got. All I saw was Tenn. get beat by Cal. Tenn has been the Cemson of the SEC the last couple years. One day they show up, the next day they don't.

Florida couldn't go to the Rose Bowl because the BCS has a rule stating no more than two teams from a conference can participate.

I'm more pissed at the way the voters conducted themselves. Two weeks ago, LSU was bad enough to drop from #1 to #7. They boosted UGA to #4, which I thought was a little high given the two losses. Now, they decide that because LSU beats a bad Tennessee team they are worthy of jumping from #7 to #2? Give me a break. If they loved LSU that much, they should have kept them in the top 5 after the loss to Arkansas. Can anyone find precedent for a team jumping from #7 to #2 at the end of the season when the teams in front of them won (or did not play)? This smacks of conspiracy. Playoff is the only fair way to decide it.

Yeah, I have a problem with these cities hosting the same games and setting a standard that only teams in certain conferences get an automatic invite. I think some kind of lottery system would be more unmolested. It is interesting seeing how the home teams get in their own bowls so often. Cash cow!
