Greetings everyone! This is my first post on the Bimmer forum. I am a Club Lexus member as that is what I have owned for several years now but I have purchased a 2003 BMW 325i 4dr for my daughter and I want to change out the taillights for her for Christmas. My question is....Are the tail lights different from the 99-01 4dr 325's than the 03'sto 05's? I have found several smoked out tails for her car but they ONLY say for 99-01 models. They look the same but do they attach different? All I can find is the red with smoke and she really likes the solid smoked clear.(non LED) Can anyone help me and if so where can I get them other than e-bay? MUCH appreciation!!!

ps. after driving her 325i for a few months now I am actually thinking of trading my SC430 for a 06 or 07 328 coupe or 335 coupe. These cars are amazing! She is just 16 as of Tues. and it was pretty hard to part with the car now that she has her drivers license.

First of all, welcome to the club! I think you will like it around here. I hope you go through with a trade on the Lexus. Gotta be Bimmer!

I believe there is a difference in the tail lights for a 99-01 as opposed to the 02-04 E46. I just googled E46 Tail Lights and found quite a few vendors you can check out. You'll just have to look around until you find the style you like. The one I looked at definitely made a distinction between the model years above.

Hope this helps!

welcome to the club, and yes there is a difference. Try modbargains.com, they have a pretty good selection of lighting.

WELCOME TODD!! SO nice to have you here. I think the company Umnitza has those smoked lights you seek. Try the links these guys mention, they know what they are talking about.

I would definately go for the Lexus to BMW trade, there are many people I know that have done the same. Nothing wrong with a Lexus, but a BMW is just on another level.

Werd!i! Check out the Umnitza.com, JLeviSW.com or ModBargains.com websites...they offer great deals on tailights!i! I bought my tails from the dealership's Motorsport Division which cost me over $300 for the OEM clear set & they're very hard to find @ BMW dealerships...
